Your Gateway to a Thriving Lifestyle

LifeHub Community Project

1- Introduction – What LifeHub Is

LifeHub is a proposed community building being developed by the charity 3Meem. It is being explored for a small part of Goodwood Field, at the corner of Manor Road and Firs Road in Sale. The building is intended for local use and may include space for sport, education, health and wellbeing activities, community groups, and limited faith-related use. The project is currently at the pre-planning stage, where local feedback is being gathered before any planning application is submitted.

2- The Community Need – Why LifeHub Is Being
Proposed

Feedback from local residents highlights a shortage of affordable and accessible spaces for
sport, youth activities, learning, and community use. Existing facilities are often fully booked
or limited in capacity. LifeHub is being explored as a shared space that could bring different
activities together in one location, shaped by community needs and priorities identified
through consultation.

3- What LifeHub Will Offer – Facilities and Activities

LifeHub is being considered as a multi-purpose building where a range of activities could
take place. These may include indoor sports and fitness sessions, education and skills
programmes, youth activities, health and wellbeing support, and meeting space for
community groups. Some faith-related activities may also be included. No final decisions
have been made, and the mix of activities will be guided by community feedback.

4- Who LifeHub Is For – Access and Local Use

LifeHub is intended for local people of all ages and backgrounds. The space could be used
by families, young people, schools, sports clubs, and community groups from the surrounding
area. Clear guidelines would be in place to ensure the building is safe, welcoming, and
respectfully shared. Local use would be prioritised through fair and transparent booking

5- Faith Use – Clear and Simple Explanation

LifeHub would include some space for faith-related activities because 3Meem has
been running faith programmes and activities in the community since 2018. These
activities would take place at specific times and alongside—not instead of—sports,
education, and wider community use. Clear management arrangements would ensure the
building remains inclusive, calm, and accessible to everyone.

6- The Site – Why This Location

The proposed location is a small part of Goodwood Field, at the corner of Manor Road and
Firs Road in Sale. This site is being explored due to its proximity to local homes, schools, and
existing community facilities. Only a limited area of the field would be used for the building, with the majority of the green space remaining open and unchanged. The aim is to place the
building where it can be reached easily by local people without affecting how the
wider field is used.

7- Transport, Parking, and Neighbour Impact

LifeHub would be planned to work sensitively within the local area. Traffic, parking, and
noise would be carefully managed to minimise impact on nearby homes. Activities would be
scheduled to avoid congestion, and walking, cycling, and public transport would be
encouraged where possible. Detailed transport and parking plans would be developed before
any planning application is submitted.

8- Green Space, Environment, and Design

The LifeHub building would only use a small part of Goodwood Field. The design of
LifeHub would aim to respect the surrounding area and protect existing green space. Trees,
planting, and natural features would be retained where possible. Lighting, building scale, and
operating hours would be planned carefully to reduce disturbance and ensure the building fits
comfortably within its environment.

9- Governance, Funding, and Accountability

LifeHub would be owned and managed by the charity 3Meem, which would be responsible
for day-to-day operations, activity management, and adherence to agreed rules. The project
would be funded through public donations. Clear governance arrangements would be in
place, with defined points of contact for local residents.

10- Consultation and What Happens Next

LifeHub is currently at the pre-planning stage, and no planning application has been
submitted. 3Meem is engaging with local residents, community groups, sports clubs, schools
and stakeholders to gather views and feedback. A public consultation, including a
questionnaire, will help shape the final proposal before any application is made.

11- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The FAQs provide clear answers to common questions about LifeHub, including site use,
green space, parking, traffic, faith activities, and building management. This section will be
updated as plans develop and more information becomes available.
