Three Meem Foundation aims to respond to the needs of any needy individual or community regardless of their faith, color, country of origin or ethnic background.

Focus

Our main focus is the personal, social and cultural development of the local community, as well as a focus on maintaining spiritual and physical well-being, which will benefit the wider society as a whole. We particularly want to engage with the women and youth of the community. We aim to empower women who can run a range of women’s activities. Youth development is another key area the Three Meem Foundation particularly emphasises by introducing a variety of activities which will hopefully bring character and achievement in academics.

Our Name

People often ask, “What’s the significance behind the name Three Meem?” This unique name is derived from repeating the Arabic letter “Meem” three times. Each instance of “Meem” represents a distinct Arabic word. These are Mahabba, Muruwwa, and Mawada, which, when translated to English, signify Devotion, Compassion, and Humanity, respectively.

Activities

Health And Wellbeing

For the past four years, the Three Meem Health and Wellbeing programme, one of our key initiatives, has strived to dovetail with the health policies of the NHS. Our mission is to blend health and well-being in an integrated, holistic manner. Through our partnerships with NHS institutions and healthcare providers, we champion the pursuit of prime health outcomes and embolden individuals to play an active role in their healthcare trajectories.

Youth Development

Since its establishment, the Three Meem Foundation has been committed to the "Youth Development" programme. Our initiatives are systematically arranged around essential pillars that enhance this programme. We've consistently made strides, building on our successes over the years and maintaining the momentum in our youth development roadmap. The importance of youth development in the UK cannot be overstated, as it has garnered the attention of policymakers, educators, and community leaders who appreciate the tremendous potential and value of the younger generation.

Women Empowerment

The Three Meem Foundation gives prominence to women's empowerment, particularly those from BAME backgrounds, understanding their unique and deeply ingrained challenges. Our strategic focus is to identify and prioritise critical initiatives, delivering them through a mix of voluntary and professionally funded resources. With the help of women volunteers, we have established 16 new services dedicated to women in the community.

Sports

The Three Meem Foundation provides an array of sports and activities tailored to cater to a wide variety of interests, ages, and skill levels. Integral to their program lineup is swimming, offered separately for both men and women, fostering physical health and community engagement in a fun, effective manner. The organisation also facilitates other sports, such as cricket and badminton, encouraging physical fitness and strategic thinking for all ages.

Supplementary School

Three Meem School, which began its journey in December 2019, places paramount importance on child education, echoing the first verse of the Qur’an, which stresses learning and enlightenment. With the growth of our local community, there has been a parallel surge in the need for faith-based education. Our institution operates from the premises of Sale High School, with regular classes every Friday and Saturday.

Community work

Our community initiative is a reflection of our deep-seated values. As the Covid-19 pandemic started reshaping lives, its ripple effects touched every corner of our community. We dedicated resources to serve those most vulnerable in these challenging times, making a conscious effort to reach out to isolated individuals and families. We are immensely proud of our collaborative role with Trafford Council Sale West Hub, enabling us to participate in the essential “pick up and deliver” service. This meant delivering necessities like food parcels, weekly groceries, and prescriptions directly to people's homes.

Faith

Three Meem Foundation is a central hub for communal religious activities, education, and engagement for its faith-based community. The faith activities span from communal worship to educational programs, enabling community members to connect with their faith in diverse ways. It orchestrates essential community worship events, including weekly congregational prayers and annual observances.
