3 Meem Football Group Code of Conduct

Introduction
This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour expected of all participants in
the 3 Meem football group. It is designed to ensure a safe, fair, and enjoyable environment
for everyone involved. Compliance with this code is mandatory for all members.

1. Respect for Others
– Treat teammates, opponents, and referees, with respect at all times.
– Avoid offensive language, derogatory remarks, and aggressive behaviour.
– Respect the decisions of referees and officials without dispute.

2. Fair Play
– Play honestly and avoid any form of cheating or unsportsmanlike conduct.
– Acknowledge and applaud good play, regardless of which team it comes from.
– Maintain a positive attitude.
– Apply the most generous interpretation of anyone’s words or actions.
– Referees decision is final.

3. Safety First
– Prioritise the safety of yourself and your brothers during play.
– The use of shin pads is mandatory.
– Adhere to the rules of the game
– Stay on your feet at all times.
– Slide tackles are an immediate yellow card.
– No deliberate shoulder barges or body checks.
– Take extra caution when challenging any brother under 18 years of age, they are still
developing physically.

4. Inclusivity and Non-Discrimination
– Ensure an inclusive environment, free from discrimination based on any characteristic.
– Encourage diversity and respect for individual differences.

5. Attendance and Punctuality
– Commit to regular attendance and arrive on time for games.
– Players must be present at the venue by 7.55 at the latest.
– Two instances of lateness over any given six week cycle will result in a one week ban.
– Notify the group, with as much notice as possible, if unable to attend.
– Two instances of non-attendance (after confirming your attendance) over any given six
week cycle will result in a two week ban.
– Failure to notify the group about your non-attendance will result in expulsion from the
group.

6. Teamwork and Cooperation
– Demonstrate teamwork, support your brothers, and communicate effectively.

7. Positive Attitude
– Maintain a positive attitude, irrespective of the game’s outcome.
– Handle victories and defeats with dignity and grace.

8. Responsibility for Equipment and Facilities
– Treat all equipment and facilities with care and respect.
– If you are asked to wear a bib, don’t challenge it.
– Ensure cleanliness and orderliness at the venue.

9. Reporting Concerns
– Report any concerns regarding misconduct or violations of this code to the group leaders.

10. Consequences for Violations
– Understand that violations of this code may result in disciplinary action, including warnings,
suspension, or expulsion from the group.
11. Sanctions
Yellow cards will be issued for

 Persistent fouls.
 Slide tackles.
 Any tackle deemed to be dangerous.
 Deliberate shoulder barge or body check
 Persistent flouting of any of the rules outlined above.

 If you get a yellow card you will play in goal for the next 10 minutes.

Red cards will be issued for

 Any challenge or behaviour deemed to be reckless.
 If you get a red card you will play in goal until the end of the game and be given
a three week ban.
