Spotlight on Youth and Community Programs

  • Community Work

The Three Meem Foundation’s work focuses on addressing the critical needs of the community through its diverse range of programs. The foundation’s educational initiatives, such as supplementary schools and career development workshops, are designed to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their studies and future careers. Programs like the GCSE revision sessions, A-Level tutoring, and university application support (UCAS guidance) ensure that every student has access to opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to them. The foundation also runs specific courses aimed at marginalized groups, such as BAME-focused workshops and tailored support for women and young people.

In sports, the foundation offers a comprehensive range of activities, from martial arts and swimming to gymnastics and Pilates. These programs not only promote physical health but also foster teamwork, discipline, and confidence among participants. The youth development programs have already engaged hundreds of young people across Trafford, providing them with healthy, structured activities that keep them active and socially connected.

Volunteering is another cornerstone of the foundation’s impact. Over the past year, the foundation has coordinated more than 1,000 volunteer hours, contributing to local initiatives such as community clean-ups, food drives, and mentorship programs. The foundation’s “Call Companions” service, which connects volunteers with elderly and isolated residents for regular check-ins, has seen a significant uptake, reducing social isolation and building stronger community ties.
