The Three Meem Foundation, in partnership with VOCAL, recently organized a community-focused group discussion to raise awareness about liver diseases, targeting South Asian communities in the UK. The event highlighted the importance of  risk of developing liver disease, with risk factors such as high BMI and diabetes being notably prevalent in South Asian populations.

The discussion emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and preventative measures for liver health. Three Meem expressed strong support for research that seeks to advance early detection methods, advocating for increased community involvement in health initiatives. The event provided an opportunity for participants to engage directly with researchers from the University of Manchester, fostering a collaborative environment where attendees shared their experiences, concerns, and suggestions.
